Spearhead wins 1st place ( Cod4 4v4) yet again for the 4th time in a row at our Local LAN party.
This is held twice a year with over 600 people in attendance each time. Read more for a detailed report. We battled it out in CoD 4. There were 6 teams, most of the teams were had good lineups, many of the ppl I played against I used to play alongside with for this tournament. Lineup : [S]Mujahid *Captain* [S]Subzero [S]Caonabismo [S]Priest Rules : TDM Time limit 15 min Pam4 Mod We got a bye in the first round because 3 teams only had 3 players each and there were no free agents available. All the team captains decided to let them play and sit 1 man out when playing them. The brackets were setup in a way where the teams with only 3 would play each other first then advance forward. We were seeded to play the winner from the 3v3 matches and sat out our weakest teammate (Priest). Priest had never played Cod4 Multiplayer in his life. Map : Backlot  We rocked our first opponents, final score was 1300-500 or so. We then advanced to the semi-finals to play against 3 of my former teammates. We knew each other's play styles and were all sitting side by side to each other :P. Map : Vacant  First round we started off spawning on the inside of the building. Our main goal was to protect Priest at all times and allow him to hide/camp in our back spawn. We equipped him with dead silence, UAV blocker and bandolier along with a Red dot M4. It was a brutal first go, both teams were equally skilled, except for Priest. We ended that round down by 2 kills. Second round we were spawning out in the containers. The round started out strong for our team, Cao and Subzero scored a couple double and triple kills, we now had our first UAV up. Two of the opposing team players were not using UAV blocker and went down instantly. We now had a small gap in the lead. A few minutes in they starting coming back strong, taking out priest a multitude of times and hitting us on our flanks. I knew we had to take control of the inside buildings and force them to spawn outside, that we did. We mounted a full assault on the building though the side kitchen door. I had an overview on the halls from the outside windows, while Cao and Subzero flashbanged their way through. Once we got in I secured the back spawns and headed towards the barrel storage and met up with Cao and Sub. We now had regained control of the building. After that it was good game for the other team as we had Crossfire cover throughout the entire building. Final Score : 1410-1100 I cant find the screenshot of the final score, I dont know if it saved but when I find it ill post it up. We won some steel series Mousepades, some us exchanged it with our 2nd place winners for a headset. So it was a win win situation for both winning teams. We took some group pics at the end and then packed up. The tournament had ended at 5:00am.  Comments by Cao: We did it again!!! First Match was pretty much a given to us, but the second one was well fought as we were basically playing one man down since Priest had never played CoD4 multiplayer before. Scores ended up pretty close in the first round, but we managed to come back in the second one and take the first place once again.
